As a follow-up, were we intended to vehemently dislike Winona's character from the outset?

Am I the only guy who thinks that it's obvious where they're going for the season ender?  Castle's still got a secret of his own—he agreed to point Beckett the other way from the conspirators who were involved with her mother's murder.

So can I ask the least-important question about this?  Why is it a human-N'avi hybrid?  Humans and N'avis didn't fuck in the movie, and probably couldn't have.

Chief?

Carey. Lowell.

I was 10 when I first saw this.  All the stuff that happened on the island, including the log scene, had me in such a state of terror that at the end of the movie when one of the characters looks at the twin towers and they 'morph' into the twin mountains that were on the island, I thought, "No!  Don't remind me of

I like it.  Um, that is all.

Didja have to remind us?  /sigh

Rats!  You beat me to the "Young Kirk" vs. "Young Picard" observation. For some reason that's all I think of when I see ads for this thing.

So what about Journey, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, or REO Speedwagon?  They spring to mind before Van Halen does in the "personification of Reagan's America" sweepstakes, IMO.

"Penguin" must have naked photos of Erik Adams.  They let him say pretty much whatever he wanted!  Grats, Penguin.

Holy shit, how did The Ring pull off a PG-13 rating?  It's got at least two of those open-mouthed corpse shots that are horrific, plus the dead girl at the end, plus the monster coming out of the TV.  Gore Verbinski is some made genius to have pulled off PG-13.

Wow, that's what I get for only seeing Beastmaster on basic cable.  I've obviously been missing one of the more valid reasons for watching it.

Collapse of trade and manufacturing due to the fall of the Roman Empire?

Well, that answers THAT question.

So here's a question: when they go on tour, will they play any of Dave's songs from the DLR days when Steve Vai was his guitarist?  Dave had some hits initially, like Yankee Rose.

Captain Giggles, was it in Madison?  And had you also consumed pizza?  Because then, well, I was a witness.

It was also used in at least one interrogation scene in NYPD Blue—the only time Greg Medavoy (Gordon Clapp) tried to be a badass, he beat a guy with one.  So… what you said.

Damn!  Beat me to it!
