maybe because i saw the film before i read the book (and was at the tail end of a massive Ellroy binge when I did read it) but I didn't enjoy that stuff. Leaving it out of the film adaptation was one of the things I really like about L.A Confidential.

watched Brainscan on TV years and years ago and thought the graphics on the first murder looked amazing. Saw it again on video a few years later and realised I was dead wrong. That rewatch did give my wife and I a catchphrase we still use to this day though…

man i thought battleship sucked. it didn't seem to stick around too long but it was such an assortment of ones and zeroes i couldn't really get on board with it. my wife said she couldn't hate a movie that had tim riggins, landry and eric from true blood in it.
