I love her too. There's something about her that makes the the hairs on the back of my gay neck stand up. Her eyebrow is a camp nuance in itself.

Shoulda been an A. This is the show at its very, very best.
The bus driver! I picked her right away.
The biggest problem I recall having when I saw it was that it was too flimsy a plot stretched out for far too long.
Like, ever ever?
What gets me is how people are jizzing all over New Girl, which is far less consistent, has far weaker characterisation and much dumber, broader plots, yet because it's only in its second season it's seemingly getting a free pass despite all of this. Even this season of Parks is better developed than New Girl's…
True, but that remains to be seen. She said she was putting it up to public ballot and, knowing the citizens of Pawnee, it may not necessarily work.
I said this above but not in response to you, but I really don't think caricature is the right word. They're not getting any more heightened than they already were, it's just that the characters' same traits are being buttoned over and over again. Obviously caricaturing does happen with sitcom characters, but I don't…
Oh yeah, I mean, Parks is not at the top of its game. But people talking about it like it's unwatchable filth is starting to wear incredibly thin. I agree that it should wind up in a season or two's time, but that there are those practically shouting, "END IT NOW! THIS IS GARBAGE!" is just ridiculous.
I disagree, I could barely make it through S5. It was tedious and barely made me laugh. I gave up on the show once it ended.
I'm not experiencing any issues with its joke rate, though, so I guess that one's just a 'your mileage may vary' situation.
You're right, it'd be crushingly dull, really.
No, I'm just saying that it's following a mightily familiar pattern. Perhaps you won't enjoy these episodes more in retrospect, perhaps you will. But it's still a 'perhaps'.
This is commenter reactions to seasons 4-6 of 30 Rock all over again. "Everyone's a caricature! There are no stakes!" And then it ends and you realise the whole time that you were just spoiled with a consistently (at least) good, often brilliant, sitcom.
This season is nothing like The Office's season 5, which is where that show pretty much became humourless dead air. Parks is still churning out funny episodes rooted in likeable characters. If it can maintain that for another season or two that's enough, but ending it now would be far too incomplete.
Say what you want about the show (C+ is ridiculous, however - after a whole season of complaining about how Leslie always gets what she wants she finally doesn't and it's not good enough) but Amy Poehler is still giving the best comedic performance on TV.
Yes, I need new Destroyer now now now. I assume you're joking about Bruno Mars though.
"the vast majority"
Yeah, it's great. But then, I'm predisposed to like anything that deploys drag lingo, even if the use of "throwing shade" is sketchy in this instance (so much misuse of that term these days).
