I don't like Haneke and, despite a grandmother who died of a stroke and an uncle who is partially paralysed because of one, it made me feel zero emotion. I didn't care a single bit for the characters, they were flat and uninteresting - they were basically cardboard old people cut-outs.

I was actually not shocked by the bomb. The foreshadowing in the scene where Jess was taking his stuff out of the dresser and laying his clothes up, plus the one where he was talking to Dana about it all while getting dressed, PLUS an imminent memorial AT THE CIA made it so bleedingly obvious a bombing was coming.
