hee…

I don't think that what I wrote contradicts your impression. Having a strict delineation of "adult life and "kid life" doesn't mean you don't spend time together. It simply means that the roles and the distribution of power are much more clearly fixed.

That makes me kind of sad. I don't feel we have that kind of segregation in Europe, or at least we didn't use to. Kids are expected to be around when adults hang. It's considered to be absolutely rude if they just saunter off into their rooms. Even when all the the adults are doing is talk shit and get drunk.

I have complained before that the episodes lack coherence and an overall structure. During this episode, however, the loose style bothered me much less, probably because the daughter's story was emotionally compelling.
I don't think this show needs to have the classic three part structure or A,B, and C plots. It would

I think I would watch Pamela Adlon in anything and I will continue to watch this, no doubt. However, I haven't really been blown away by any of the episodes so far. It's all a bit too low key, too unfocused, too mellow. And when there is drama it can seem a bit forced. Like, the smoke alarm sequence felt totally over

I didn't even watch this one. FTWD, you and me, we are no longer a thing. Adios. Farewell. And please go fuck yourself.

Sure, I discovered I'm an asshole when I'm high. No more voyages for me, thanks.

I'm sorry, those were real problems?

Hm, if the plan was to draw the Z's to the pier and then jump off it, I wouldn't have worn long pants, shoes or a hoodie. I remember being told to jump in a pool with my clothes on to experience firsthand how much harder it is to swim like that. In a pool, not the riptide! It made a huge difference. (It was some kind

Yup. Good stuff. I find it a little curious that no-one is mentioning The Knick when talking about Cinemax, though. Is there no overlap between people who enjoy Banshee and people who're into The Knick? I, for one, loved both.

Everyone involved must be aware this is total insanity (or to to put it less nicely: garbage.)
Maybe that's what makes Zoo much more enjoyable than FTWD. They commit to the nonsense and the show ends up being a lot more fun for it.

Made by people who don't actually like the genre they are creating. It's bizarre.

My thoughts, exactly.
I don't know what they were grilling but I'm hoping that some time soon, it will be parts of Nick.

I've been thinking about what bothers me about this show so much. I mean apart from all the things that many of you have already mentioned.

I agree with most of you here - this show is ridiculously awful. However, the shots of the desert were actually pretty nice. I'm used to much more artless cinematography from this show. Neither do I think that the zombie makeup and the gore are particulary bad or amateurish. I especially liked the shot from above

I finished the series, sort of semi-enjoying it. It got a bit slow every now and then but it was also pretty dark and gristly. (And rapey.) It's definitely good enough for summer viewing, though.

Minor quibble, though: The point of wearing sandals when you have excema is that air will get to your skin and that will help the healing process (or at least not make it worse). Once you wrap your feet in seran wrap it really won't matter if you wear shoes on top of it.

So I guess you're still reviewing THIS?

I pretty much hated Preacher at the beginning. It was mildly entertaining but soulless. I think, at this point, it is still only somewhat entertaining but it's at least trying to find its emotional core. It hasn't found it yet, but they might be getting there. Fingers crossed. I still wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend

Still not sure about Preacher. I get your criticism. I just watched the last ep. It was… alright? I'm starting to think that Dominic Cooper really was a casting mistake. I always felt 'meh' about him but it's getting worse. I'm just not feeling it. At the same time I'm really starting to dig Negga and Gilgun (which I
