That the Ghostbusters movie didn't score big at the box office is an
obvious reflection of the lack of promotion and public awareness. For instance, did you know that the main characters were ALL FEMALE? That one totally slipped under the radar.
As the Roanoke, Va., Chamber of Commerce is quick to point out before redirecting your attention to its world-class convention center (spoiler: also horrifying; I've been there).

It's eerie that (a) this novel resembles an episode of Venture Bros. and (b) the author (as seen in the mugshot from the other article) resembles the alternate-universe Rusty Venture.
I believe this year is the 10-year anniversary of that one sitting in my Amazon shopping cart. The reviews all said it was the best one of his novellas.

Yeah, I saw them live once and the whole looped-guitar thing they did was pretty boring to watch. Dunno if that's an essential part of their sound, but it was a big enough turnoff.
Saw these guys open for Big Business a few years ago and was very impressed. Looking forward to seeing them this fall open for Russian Circles. I'll almost certainly be leaving before the headliner takes the stage, though.
