yeah, but just barely (Whitford is 55). I guess his parents were young marrieds. Wonder how Whitford feels about playing the dad to a 35-year old.

I may be alone on this, but I think the show started going downhill after the Nick/Jess break-up. Before that, there was an arc, the show was going somewhere, and there was a sweetness to it that has disappeared.
loved Winston's response. "But the roommates get the cat without the benefit of the cat…(pause, as he realizes how that sounds)" …
I loved Peter's response to Tamra's "You have no idea what it's like to break up with someone at the office and then have them go out with someone else." "That's *exactly* what happened to me…do you not listen to anything I say?" Tamra: I guess not.
It does remind me a little of the famous Alec Baldwin monologue in Malice: and you ask me if I have a God complex….
Best Supporting, I would think.
With Holt’s entire “And you ask, ‘Is everything okay?’” monologue, they should just give him the Emmy already. No needs for an awards show.
I find it a little odd and unrealistic that this family would spend the entire summer at the in-laws — a week or two, sure — but both Noah and Helen seem to think the father is a jerk, and both parents are hostile to Noah, and even Helen seems annoyed all the time, so why would would they do it? And since the show…
It's neither convincing nor realistic that she would choose to have a baby at her age and under her circumstances, and I find it really maddening that they would go with such a traditional and boring plot device.
Ira and Abby.
I agree. I like the Hank story. Ray Romano is such a pleasure to watch — there's humor in his acting and you don't always get that with the other characters (love crosby and zeke too for that reason). I liked when Hank looked shocked at his success, and his "good talk." I also think the Ruby/Sarah story is a very…
wow, I guess I'm not the only person just catching up to this show! I didn't really buy why Matt wouldn't have called Julie. Also, not loving the way the Vince story is going.
Technically, weren't there two Parenthood movies? So that would be six seasons and two movies. Doesn't have quite the same ring…
And it echoes Martha Plimpton's real-life reconciliation with her father, Keith Carradine, a guest star on that great episode a few weeks ago.
how about the waste of money when he flunks all his classes?
I would go a bit further even: And when things were really tough with Victor, and I reached out to you, you were unavailable and downright passive aggressive. You wouldn't even answer my phone calls. That's why I had to come down to your workplace. And I was obviously upset and in tears, and you wouldn't even come…
Agree with Eyeballman. Especially if you have two kids, one with issues, you would quickly learn that everything is not the parents' fault. You can "teach" your children to say please and thank you, and one will do it and the other won't (or at least not all the time, or not without prompting). Not because they…
I kind of hope that there's a version of Martha Plimpton and Garrett Dillahunt singing this on the DVD extras….
Is there anything Garrett Dillahunt can't do? That rendition of Don't Go Breakin' My Heart was fantastic. I will miss this show.
But did I hear correctly? Drew is going to move in with Amber? That seems kinda crazy to me.
