Don't worry, it looks like you weren't the only person who mistook "I think this is worthy of examination" with "Ohmigod this is my favorite show!"
Thank you for this. I mostly agree - I guess I generally tend to be of the opinion that the more time you take to understand something, the less harm it can do. Ignoring or dismissing this show's existence isn't going to make our pop culture ecosystem a better place.
Thank you for the clarification… for some reason I find it really hard to get the internet to tell me about what's going on with this show. And yes, the SYTYCD bad auditions are possibly more painful than the Idol ones (what with the actual physical humiliation and all.)
That was a Blackberry Playbook? Awesome. Allison Haislip:Christina Milian::Galaxy Tab:Playbook::Beige:Off-White.
There's a definite supervillain vibe that has infected the judging panel, between Cee Lo's cat and Christina's witch cackles. I blame the chairs.
Yup. Correct. Fixing.
So, how are they treating the interns at NBC these days?
Congratulations, everyone. We did it.
Lies.
Oh my god. I am actually quite embarrassed, as my Twitter profile says I am the unofficial "Hills" archivist and historian and I have a reputation to maintain. I will correct this and give you credit, unless you're more embarrassed about knowing that sort of thing than I am.
Though Ms. Fisher's drug history is well known at this point, I didn't want to make any direct implications about her state during this particular shoot. But, uh… yeah. Blissed out.
Y'know, I'm always lucky if the comments on these things break the single-digits, but I really appreciate all the lovely feedback from you guys every week. I have nothing sassy to add to this comment.
I saw it in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, of all places. I think it's the kind of thing municipal orchestras will do every once in a while. Definitely worth it if you get the chance (and you know the ensemble to be good.)
Not sure it counts as a snuff piece if the author herself was barely keeping it together during the majority of the writing process but, uh… thanks! And my allergies are much better now, thank you.
The film doesn't have any words, except the various intros. The Bowie version has a bit of narration in the opening moments of the animation (which I still kind of hate even though it's very brief,) but other than that the rest of the film is still silent.
I can: InTENsity's elimination.
See, I would venture that there is something keeping Nicole back other than bad luck and lack of a hit song. (Because she has had a hit - remember "Dont'cha?") I think she is fundamentally unappealing in the way that lasting, decade-spanning pop stars have to be. It doesn't even have to do with aesthetic or what she…
I don't love The Sing-Off, but I think it probably has the best judging panel of any competition currently running. I almost went off on a big tangent up there about how Sara is successful in all the ways Nicole isn't - likeable, funny, charming, all those things. It's amazing how much her replacing NS improved that…
Eek, fixed.
