I enjoyed Buffy growing up, but its concentration on teen angst does not make it age well.  Angel ended up being a much better, adult show,  and still lasts, just like B5 in my opinion.

I'm having the same experience in my current run through of the show Rowan, which is my first in about six years.  Currently four eps into S4.  Made sure to rewatch the Gathering last night though. ;)

Well, considering I first saw this when I was just under 13 years of age, that's plausible.  Nostalgia can be a big factor for me not critiquing this pilot for what it is.

Yeah, after reading the sketch of what the show originally was supposed to be, according to volume 15 of the scriptbooks, I am even more happy that the show ended up the way it did.
