I already have the Prime membership for the free shipping, so it just makes sense to use that instead of netflix now after their bump in prices.  Only discs from now on for me…

I'm switching to just discs myself.  I'm gonna watch the rest of my instant watch queue this weekend and then change my subscription for the second time in a month.  Amazon Prime will have to do for internet streaming.  I'll just use that when we start DS9 eps in a few months.

Another stereotype reinforced: The French love cheese.

Elena does seem to have a death wish at times.  And Ric's comment to her that she must have a thing for "lost causes" was very spot on.

Someone doesn't know the difference between homoerotic subtext and burgeoning friendship.

We need more Bonnie & less Caroline.

Kierkegaard has no business being referenced in a comment about a shitty sitcom.

The lack of a noticeable smell had me laughing frequently during the episode.

Yeah, this is the only reason I'll be sticking around for another episode.  Laughs from campiness are simply not enough.

I got several good laughs from how bad the episode was, but even that might not be enough to make me stick around much longer.

Yeah, like I mentioned above somewhere, it's become a predictable part of their formula for episodes, and it started to strain believability at some point last season for me.

Yeah, Anna was great and was missed.

TVD probably falls somewhere in between gossip girl & breaking bad.  Schlocky but not overwhelmingly so, and serious, but not up its own ass.

Not at the time, when I was a teenager myself, but it makes it extremely hard to rewatch episodes at this age now.  I groan most of the time if I watch buffy now.  It has not aged well for me, unfortunately. :(

Same for me for Bonnie.  She became much more likeable last season.

Some of my Serbian side of the family's closest friends are Croatian (e.g., a Kuma/Godparent), so don't worry about that.  The antagonism seems to disappear on American shores, once away from the old country.

Does anyone else wish these reviews were still posted on Fridays instead of Thursdays?  I wish it was never switched with Buffy/Angel.  It's much easier to get lazy with my workload on Fridays and post here often instead of on Thursdays.

"Hey baby, wanna kill all humans?"

Yeah, I thought that dress was a nightgown too.  When she started walking down the stairs for the party, I realized otherwise…

While I thought S1 was better, I still enjoyed S2 plenty.  Especially having more Krieger.
