It really was the height of trek fandom in general Steffs. The franchise has never been higher.

Same here, it really put a capper on the movie for me. It really solidified how humans & vulcans were partners in trek…
Saves energy I guess?
The queen still fits the beehive analogy, and it adapts the concept to the film medium, so I'm forgiving of that. When a movie is overall entertaining, it allows you to forgive plotholes, retcons, & continuity errors, which is why I still don't like Enterprise or the other three TNG films. At the end of the day they…

I tried it once last week and quickly switched back. It's even harder to find the new posts since you last visited either way…
Like I said above, it's the non-anamorphic version (which I believe is ripped from the laser disc copies as Mark says). It might be the same as you get over in France, I don't know. Regardless, it's an inferior presentation for Region 1 at least.
Yeah, the option is similar here, both versions in the same package, but the quality of the unaltered version is crappy, like I said. Looking at amazon, the widescreen version isn't even anamorphic: http://www.amazon.com/Star-…
Except that it's incredibly difficult to get a copy of the original original trilogy before it was altered, especially in a decent format. I don't own any Star Wars films on dvd or anything but I would consider buying the original trilogy if it was presented in its original, unaltered version. I believe there's a…
Stop putting words in my mouth.
IV is definitely one that has not held up for me over the years.
We weren't arguing specific points here. We'll have plenty of time to do that next week. "Mindless backlash?" Stating that there is one, doesn't mean I view it as "mindless." You are putting words into my mouth.
Hm, that sounds interesting. I wonder if someone with more extensive knowledge of Voyager could confirm?
It's probably best to assume that in between those two movies, he and Geordi came up with a way to put an off switch on the thing because of the problems Data was having.
Agreed. Just last week it came to me that I did not remember seeing Cubert or Dwight in the newer episodes, and I was pleased with that thought. Then of course, Cubert shows up right away, but thankfully he was tolerable in this one.
Best one yet. The show has improved every week, thankfully.
I thought Dan Whitney's revenge would consist of a pickup truck with a gun rack running over a latte drinking hippie on his way to a drum circle in San Francisco.
Their origins were never explained. I wish they were. You would think with how much they were covered in Voyager, they would have gotten to that eventually. I suppose that that's fortunate though, because they probably would not have done a good job.
It's held up fairly well for me. Considering I don't like the other three TNG movies at all, it's not me just being a fanboy accepting any and all trek.
