The Comeback was great becasue it had things to say about where Valerie Cherish was in the culture as well as about the culture in general.  Fat Actress was just about a Fat Actress, nothing witty to say about why she was judged that way.

The only joke I still remember from this show is that Wallace Shawn's character was "Dr. Sigmund Von Oy"  — Sigmund from Freud obviously but Von Oy from Jenna Von Oy, Mayim Bialik's Blossom co-star.  I distinctly rember getting a good laugh at that one when it was first broadcast.
