The last two Nationals games have both had really exciting, crazy plays at the end of the game in extra innings, so tonight's could continue the trend. Monday had the Astros making maybe the worst play I've ever seen (four different team members make ridiculous errors at the exact same time, it's really something),

Hee, I thought that was fun too. Makes us Marylanders feel exotic. (Or obscure, but, you know, we're fairly used to that.)

I live in the DC area, and our local news broadcasts had footage of a gathering her school had so her classmates could watch her compete together, and it was pretty impressive. They all seriously lost. their. shit. when she won.

YES to Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders - it's one of my favorites, but no one ever seems to mention it. Just the movie itself can make me fall off of things from laughing too hard. The guy tensely driving the monkey toy out to the desert to bury it…oh man.

I think my parents still haven't entirely forgiven me for all the times I made them watch Full House when I was 7 and thought it was the greatest show in the world, really. I can't really blame them, because it is genuinely *that bad* of a show.

Hopefully all this time travel will lead to the introduction of Cable in the movies, and then the Cable-Deadpool movie that really, really needs to exist.

Pineapple upside-down cake for a tiered wedding cake just seems spectacularly ill-conceived to me - the whole point of those is that they're really moist and soft, so it was practically inevitable that the thing would collapse.

I don't know, I'd say it could be pretty okay, depending on how hot they are.

It's true that we don't know for sure, but it's hard to set aside the context of this being a very Sorkin kind of show. He's got a large body of work at this point with themes and plots that have recurred over and over, and the most prominent is probably the idealistic one that, if people just did things the right way

Sorry! I know that 'I think Fry having an accident with a sausage grinder sounds too gross for me' is a terribly offensive opinion.
