IIRC, he gave up on the final IC because he wanted to let Tom win, knowing that Tom would then vote him out to go to F2 with Katie. They didn't go to tribal, but instead held it at the challenge. It was effectively quitting the game, considering he could have won.

We've been having this debate every week. I'm with you here.

Read those awhile back and the covers were boggling from a marketing perspective. Like, I didn't quite get the vibe that sex-hungry hetero men would enjoy the stories (unless they wanted cheap sales) and I did get the feeling that women and sensitive (in a good way) men would be turned off by the covers.

Yea, but I think the fact that our mind immediately goes to BK Kids Club when we see somebody in a wheelchair speaks to a representation issue. The disabled character could not be in a wheelchair (that's a good point), but it's not like we're drowning in characters who are in wheelchairs.

Don't quite disagree with that, but I missed that nuance in your original comment which I pretty much read as "these two things attempt diversity and are also laughable." Which I don't really get from the image above alone.

Yea, I read that as a bit clumsy, but maybe it was an info dump? It's always hard to cram subtlety into some of these titles, though great writers certainly have.

Isn't laughing at diversity kinda perpetuating the issue?

Agreed. Doesn't feel right to call Colby stupid or Tina lucky in this case because it's a little more morally complex than something like Tyson voting himself out. Would be curious to see how he feels about it now.

I think she had a moment of weakness and then recovered, but ymmv on that.

She was kinda flirty when she told him to take off her immunity necklace. So, she is with it sometimes.

Yea, if she had flipped after unflipping, it would have been moot because of the idol and then she'd be in a F4 spot.

I think she's outright bitchy enough that she might have an edge over other attractive people.

Maybe "Chaos Is My Friend" means Kass and Spence
will be besties again!

Yea, he also could have gotten points for playing a nobler game ("I wanted to beat the best" or whatever). Didn't he still get 3 votes? Though, I guess beating Keith being a definite makes the whole thing stupid.

Yea, a lot of people missed it (at least in my friends group), but she said on the show that she was saving for an immunity clue (she thought this bid was a challenge advantage). So, she came to play as well.

I feel like he could have also had Jeremiah ask Jefra the quintessential Survivor question, "just let me know if it's me tonight" and that could have helped Spencer figure out how to use the idol. Dunno, I think there were more definitely more plays to be done.

Yea, doesn't really matter if he doesn't even turn around to check. I take that to mean that he was lost (because if you don't care if you're lost in the crazy bottom Inception world, then you may as well be), but I can see the above point.

That's very silly to imply that any action short of attacking somebody isn't hate.

I'd still say there's a murky range of the few years above the age of consent that makes fooling around with those much younger than myself not typically worth the hassle. Especially if you're going to complicate it with filming.

I think Thailand benefited from that happening early in the season, as opposed to the sustained ugliness of Samoa. Still wasn't handled that well, but it gave you a lot more to absorb once it was out of the way.
