She really deserved that win, though. It was pretty masterful (watched that season earlier this year - they're all on youtube).

Good stuff here. I liked #2 a lot, but I remember thinking (in the theater) about how OTT the voice was and how much the plot relied on impossibly planned coincidences (which could become comical in 20 years as you say).
"the only one who seemed to be having fun" is exactly how I felt about Uma Thurman in Batman & Robin! I thought she (through camp) really elevated her part. Wasn't sure if the rest were in on the joke.
I feel like you're conflating sperm and semen here and that's offending my sensibilities for some reason.
@JudgeReinhold:disqus I'm a Sandra stan for life, but credit has to be given always. People consider the Outcast twist one of the worst in the show's history, but still PI ranks pretty high on a lot of people's lists of best seasons and I like to think that was because of Queen Sandra.
@avclub-7adb6a50e7687b45a00b35796f18f17d:disqus I mean, I'm 100% sure it's a joke (kind of like how they never had to explain C.U.N.T. for the longest time), but I have heard too much confusion about it.
Heck, I'm sure I've twittered #wheremypeopleat, but that doesn't make it less subversive.
I can't be the only one who thought the hashtag thing was a joke, especially in the first episode.
I think they're annoying, too, but I will defend vote splitting! Vote splitting allows for potentially upsetting moves like the bro alliance only needing 1 vote to take control over a final council or Andrea retaining control with Erik's vote. If there were no idol, it'd be pretty clear who was going when such a…
Why are people counting out Sherri? The old fans don't hate her (they tried to work with her) and she's been surprisingly resilient (somehow she ended up tight with Cochran, Dawn, and Brenda). I can't say I'm rooting for her over Cochran or Brenda, but I'd be happy with her winning over any of the others (but I'd be…
YUP!
My favorite study group bingo was when Pierce said "I'm alive" and the whole group said "square!" It wasn't focused on, which was part of its appeal.
I thought the "we have to share our secrets to be on the same level as Shirley" was too much like Jeff having to drunk dial Britta in season 1. Besides that (and the cop-out of Abed not having a secret), I really enjoyed the episode (and so did the person I watched it with who never had even heard of the show before).
Yea! That was my biggest laugh. Camera lingered on it just enough and it felt really true.
*when they're on mute
Yea, RI is in my bottom 3 for sure. Definitely the worst in terms of knowing who the winner was (and they could have had fun with it to salvage it).
Yea, that's my only qualm with last season. It had everything I want from Survivor, except for the fact that the winner felt absent for about 1/3 of the endgame.
Preach!
This is why I'm rooting for Corinne at this point; she's the first person who outright has stated that she doesn't want to play with Phil anymore (because it's not fun due to his craziness). It's sick!
I disagree. I think Clay was bearable compared to some of the monsters that recent winners have strung along (like Coach). I think the game used to be "let's assess who is least likely to win around final 5 and take them to the end if possible" where now it's "this is day 2 and this person is a truly shitty human…
Corinne snuffing Phil would be sweet, sweet justice for (1) the absolutely insane goat-centric games that have been happening since Russel I, and (2) the stupid Probstian tendency to placate annoying males in a way that he doesn't with women. I can't wait. I can't wait!
