Can I borrow that last plaque..?

Yup! And I hate all this "this was compelling tv" talk because that's the attitude that led us to this uncomfortable and exploitative episode. I'm sure there's a byline from Hantz I winning fan favorite to this.

I'm gonna guess Sue Hawk's quit.

I get the vibe that he's of the "I'm gay but gay doesn't define me" self-hating persuasion from the fact that they met at an "online sports forum." Not that gay dudes can't like online sports, but I place it next to "I want biological children" and "if I wanted to date women, I'd be straight" on the still holding onto

Yea, even as an 8 year old, I knew the teams who didn't collect enough pendants (because you could get through to the final round with like 1.5 pendants or something) would never make it through. I always thought they should only have enough guards to drain them of the medallions just to waste time but not eliminate

Zac Posen is the cutest man alive thread starts here. <3

Yea, I write for a prom dress designer and long dresses are definitely still in vogue. I wouldn't say so much that teens like "classy" as they like ostentatious and some sick perception of regal.
But, then there's also the Destiny's Child MO of only showing off one body part; meaning, if you're choosing to show off

Somebody had a really good clip in the intro doing the immunity in some past season. Anybody remember who it was? I want to say Danielle Dilorenzo.

Was this before or after All-Stars when he built the underground shelter?

Totally agree. They're sacrificing the meta-arc to try and capture "shocking" moments within each episode (that they used to get in the early seasons because it was fresh). Now that TV is really into the journey of a season, I wish Survivor would sacrifice a few episodes' worth of shocks to give us a better story.

@avclub-7445cdf838e562501729c6e31b06aa7b:disqus That's a pretty heteronormative joke for a comment on a Dan Savage article.

Can't be drugs because his hair has seemed to grown back, not out completely (I can't be the only person to remember his balding days)

I'm gonna reply in the odd chance somebody can identify this cartoon that I think about all the time. I had this tape of Charlotte's Web that was taped off of the Disney Channel and, before it, was this cartoon about these snow spirits who covered a town  in snow and ice. One guy skated to make ice and another flew to

@avclub-21e7a502608c3933ec20028beeedd7b7:disqus I liked One World (a fair amount actually) but I would have to blame bizarre editing for some slight difference between those two seasons. Like, why did Sabrina become a non-entity? Were the AO characters better or just more fleshed out?

It was too cruel for my tastes.

Now I'm thinking of 5th Element!

Totally agree. It may be classist of me to say this, but I feel like anybody that rich who is that depressed probably has some chemical imbalances in her head and isn't just going through a phase. She should get the mental help she's lucky to afford.

when I get the strength to leave you always tell me that you need me and I'm weak cause I believe you and I'm mad because I love you so I stop and think that maybe you can learn to appreciate me then it all remains the same that you ain't never gonna change

I wonder how much she actually brought it up. That being said, I know some filthy rich people who have some humility. It is possible.
