yes, the pit was resolved a long time ago. It's not like it needs to be the metaplot of the entire series and whenever it goes off screen, everybody asks "where's the pit?"

Damn, I wish the Hold Steady had made something quite like "an album-length narrative about a group of druggy nightlifers". Such an album would have been so awesome, it would have been one of the top albums of the 00s.
