I think the promos might have ruined this episode for me. They gave away the mustache joke, and pretty much the entire "last night" montage, not to mention the prison scene.

I saw that promo on FOX for the show, and I'll I thought was, "That should get it some viewers." Which works for me. Wouldn't be surprised if Reed approved it, either. Who wouldn't want a character from their show introducing The Simpsons, regardless of how bad the Simpsons episode is?

The operative word there was "trash". I'm not mindlessly worshipping the show ( I conceded that the episode wasn't quite up to snuff). I think that heaping on backlash, as internet commenters are wont to do, is the wrong way to go.

This thread is dead, but for the record, I think Sunny is one of the few shows (along with The Boondocks, among others) where distinguishing which season is better is near-impossible. They all have fantastic moments, and all of them have episodes that rival other great ones.
