I saw this and Melancholia on Saturday and I think I slightly preferred the Herzog. In fact, I'm willing to say its his best since Grizzly Man. I'm disappointed it hasn't done better.
Certainly the best finish to an animated series I've ever seen. And I would characterize it as being bittersweet AND good.
