I've watched up to this episode. I'm not a Malcolm McDowell fan. I've been mad at him since Heroes, and he looks ridiculous miming conducting in this series. I feel like he is chewing the scenery, as always.

It could be audience pandering. As a mother myself I am very interested in all the mother/daughter relationships in this show. Not that it's what I tune in for, but seeing how Alicia handles her daughter's new-found sexiness is really interesting to me.

This is exactly what I thought!  There was lots of talking-over-eachother stage musical type staging going on.  Very masterfully done.

The thing I'm stuck on is how is Eric's hair long in the flashback?  Just like Jessica's hyman regrows, doesn't that mean his hair would always stay short?  I can't remember what the length was in the Godric flashbacks, so I'm bugged by that.  Does Eric get a haircut everyday when he wakes up?  VAMPIRE HAIR, HOW DOES…

I found it interesting how often Alex uses her sexuality as a weapon, both with Piper and with Pennsatucky.

And also the lack of makeup (or makeup to look like a lack of makeup) on a lot of the women!  Women looking how they want to look!  OMG!

I disagree.  I thought it was SO in character of Piper to do that dance.
