We just watched the first two.  No we won't make it for the premiere but we'll probably be done in a month or so, so like…4 episodes behind!

I kind of hope the show does not do a romantic attraction between her and Holmes at all.  I mean, obviously these are both very sexy individuals and a bit of flirtation is always fun but I like the idea of them staying friends more than anything.

One of my favorite P&R

Same.  I have always been a sucker for people missing incredibly obvious cues, especially when they are written down.  Very specific joke format I know but it just cracks me up.

Not just openly gay, but an openly gay POC.

Andre Braugher saying "They have adorable chubby cheeks." might be the greatest moment in television history.

I want to hang out with this guy so much.

Right, and when my Mom actually saw the planes hit the towers from the Highway.  And the thousands of people who heard them fly overhead and explode.

He soft spokenly plays the bad cop.

See also: Lolita.  Which is so brilliant structured and beautifully written that it doesn't matter that I don't know every epic poem that Nabokov is referencing with literally every sentence.

It's forgivable you haven't heard of him, he's only been around for a few years and, as the review stated, he came out of nowhere.  I only heard of him because I tend to read the Pulitzer novels each year and I only realized he has a new book today when I saw this review.  Excited to see it seems to deliver on how

Truthers tend to be those who think the government perpetrated 9/11 and think things like "controlled demolition" and that there weren't really planes that day sometimes.

I have only read Crying of Lot 49 but I can recommend it.  It was not difficult or unpleasant.  It was a challenge but not in a harsh way.  It was beautifully written and incredibly incredibly hilarious, sometimes in really goofy silly ways.  And it's very short.

Feel like Pynchon's later works have become more and more accessible.  And to be honest I'll probably be reading them before I'll be reading Gravity's Rainbow.  I will get to it someday I am sure but this and Inherent Vice feel far less daunting.  Also, more on the page.  As in all I really need to get all I can out

I like the idea of the Men of Letters a lot.

I'm so so sorry to be replying so late!  The wedding planner went late, then the GIants played, then Em and I spent time together and my friends came over and then Breaking Bad and now I am super fucking depressed lol.

BOWDEWOW BOWDEWOW BOWDEWOWINOWWOWNOW

I hope that I can!  I'm bad at keeping up with commenting in TV Club reviews because i often watch things the next day and the discussions are mostly over.  I will try very hard to though!

Speaking of really really sick with a terrible flu, did you notice how Dean has sounded stuffed up for a few eps?  Ever since Kevin had that weird stroke and soudned incredibly congested in that one ep?
