I don't want to say it was deliberate, but Lester's wife really comes across as almost a parody of the "anti-hero's stern wife who never lets him have any fun" trope. We get a couple scenes with her being an absolute shrew and harshing our sympathetic hero's buzz, and then he kills her. Just like every fanboy ever

I think it more meant to be bewilderment that we might have been afraid for the life of someone we just met during this episode.

I still have a signed copy of Bakker's "Raptor Red," which I loved when I was 7 because I was super into dinosaurs. Looking at it now, it's pretty hilariously outdated. Still cool, and he was a nice guy.

I think we're supposed to take it as pure, unadulterated denial. He threw up at Sam Hess' murder scene. His entire goal as a police officer seems to be community maintenance and organization and not, you know, stopping serious crime or dealing with murder or conspiracy.

"Nyarlathotep, however, is active and frequently walks the Earth in the guise of a human being, usually a tall, slim, joyous man."

When Ollie was on the phone with Waller and you could just hear helicopters and crashing noises outside, it was legitimately intense. They get so much out of their budget.

I think it's that, and it's the half-mask bit. If she were wearing a full Deathstroke mask, I think we'd still probably know who it is.

The most dangerous place in Starling City is Laurel's apartment, so at least she had the common sense not to go back there. She's learning?

Incredibly late, but that might be my single favorite Batman moment in the entirety of the DCAU. It's heartbreaking.

Bob and David are both north of 50.

Because I forgot: I traded Skyrim in there 4 months after it came out and got $42 for it.

I know we're supposed to hate Gamestop (for good reason), but I've been a pro member there and you get REALLY GOOD value on trade ins. I haven't paid more than $40 for a game I preordered there in years. I paid $5 for Mass Effect 3.

I honestly thought it was just me, but I noticed it a couple times this season and it weirded the shit out of me.

I think the show is explicitly acknowledging that by having Oliver scream "SHE WASN'T YOURS" at Slade. Which of course, Slade misconstrued as Oliver mocking him.

This is one of the better episodes of JLU, and it feels like a disservice to ignore it, but HOLY SHIT THAT BATMAN BEYOND SHORT WAS COOL

My favorite thing about Skyward Sword is that I felt it was the first Zelda since OoT that wasn't explicitly trying to copy or distance itself from OoT.

Also I managed to comment on this with my old account that I didn't even know existed.

He didn't get enough to do. Though he got killed in a really badass way, so at least he's keeping that streak going.

I'm imagining Tim deadpanning "The gun is a symbol for my boner."

You're going to have the rest of 2014 to catch up, so unless you really need that space you'd be better off watching it slowly. It was probably the worst season of Justified, but it had 3 or 4 really good episodes.
