It was going full Parks & Rec, where it's still an perfectly enjoyable show but just sort of…exists without really surprising you.
I think the procedural bits of this will become more bearable to us since it'll only be one case. Seems a little closer to truth and obviously more realistically paced.

I have to imagine that Ollie not telling Slade that Shado died because he chose Sara over her, intentionally or not will have something to do with it.
She had some nice sizzle with Moira, so that's promising.
To be fair (and late), I feel as though Shado's death served more than to contextualize Ollie's survivor's guilt.
