I watched the pilot, and thought it was really bad. The only part I actually liked was Marcia Gay Harden, who seems absolutely effortless and natural in her scenes - which's a perfect contrast to the rest of the cast, who's trying waaaaay too hard. In the pilot, Bradley Whitford is paired with the worst actor of the

The movie is awful. Really, really bad. Honestly, it was one of those sessions that were pure torture from beginning to end. I don't think I've ever seen a movie age as poorly as this one. Everything's completely tacky and old-fashioned (in a bad way).

Hate to ruin this, but Peter Sellers also went home empty handed.

Yeah, and I think HGN works perfectly as a sort of lead in to the talk shows that will air later in the night. HGN isn't strong enough for fall just yet, but after some time, with more promotion and an actual lead in, I think it could be.

I can't believe this show isn't more successful, to be honest. It's got laundry-folder written all over it. And celebrities (who seem to be having a blast)! Also, it's not even bad. It's just completely harmless and forgettable, but amusing enough to tune in during summer nights.

Japanese theme is amazing. Not just from season 1, but from all seasons, actually.

Same here. I think it was actually the first time I've seen Ellen acting (looking on her IMDb profile, I only recall her on her Will & Grace episode), so I was surprised at how amazing and incredibly natural she is here. It's sad that she's just a talk show host now, she's definitely the kind of actor I would love to

My friend who came out last year was really terrified, but not because he was scared that people would not accept him. He knew they would, since they had already accepted other gays and lesbians. He was scared that that would simply change how people would talk and relate to him. Because at least where I live, people

Can I just say how much I hate the ABC Family business model? I really hate these 10-episode chunks they air every other climatic season. That is especially awful because their shows function more or less like actual network dramas, with large ensembles and whatnot, so it gets really hard to service properly all of

Almost 14 months, yeah. And here I was thinking that nothing could be worse than what NBC did to Grimm last season, which debuted on the beginning of August and only wrapped things up by the end of May.

Thank you for your answer!

Season one wasn't *that* self-contained. Lots of mysteries were left unresolved.  I would really like to see the show coming back as well, especially with the idea of just focusing on Sam, leaving aside the agency.

Question for those who have watched the Danish/Swedish original series: I watched the pilot of the US version, and saw some potential, but decided not to continue because it required too much good faith that all of those random subplots would somehow, someday interconect and after The Killing it just wasn't worth it.

If your favorite show of the year is Enlightened, then you should go with Rectify. Not that there's anything this year that matches the level of Enlightened, but Rectify reminded of it, particularly in its contemplative tone and how it achieves some kind of transcendent beauty in some scenes. And even though people

Yeah, that's the opinion I've mostly heard. Still, from what I know from other seasons, Weeds may have turned into a trainwreck, but it sure sounds like a fascinating one, with the constant changes to the status quo and whatnot.

I'm currently at episode 7, but the show is so brilliant that I'm thinking about watching Weeds, even though people say that this is far better than Weeds ever was.

The first episode I thought there was too much stuff crammed for just 50 minutes (though I can see how that was the point, to overwhelm us with information the same way Piper was overwhelmed when she first entered that world), but the second episode has a more focused narrative and gives a great impression of how rich

I completely forgot that Meredith wrote that one too. Wow. The woman is amazing then. I'm now worried about Homeland without her, she was probably the best person to write for Carrie.

Exactly that. I only disagree with you in the second paragraph. I don't know if I did enjoyed what it did to Dana (she comes dangerously close of becoming annoying in that episode where she decides to go to the police), but I absolutely enjoyed Morgan Saylor's acting.

The episode that introduces the God-awful hit and run plot? No way.
