Well, maybe that'd be better, but really, in the end the question is "Does this need to exist?" What could be gained by revisiting this story, and it sounds like there's no compelling answer to this. Doesn't help that Lurie hits every note he has in his films with a sledgehammer.

Haven't seen this yet, but Marsden seems wildly miscast. Dustin Hoffman's casting in the original worked largely because he's Dustin Hoffman, youth culture icon, playing the meek, neurotic character he does so well, married to a woman way out of his league, forced into the violence he abhors. James Marsden isn't a bad

I look forward to seeing Tom Hooper tuck them away in weird corners of the frame

Podcast
What's with the last 40 seconds or so of the podcast? It goes from Revision 3 logo to black screen to smashed car to cliff from Avatar to Scott Tobias and I've watched it 3 times now for reasons I don't completely understand.

Blow Out does seem to be everyone's favorite. I've meant to check it out but can find it absolutely nowhere near me. I'll wait for that Criterion to hit stores and hopefully pick it up next to Something Wild (which I can't even contain my excitement for). I'm hoping it serves as a Gateway to Geekery for me.

Well Timed
I just had a conversation with a friend about how I just don't get De Palma. I've tried time and time again to find some sort of a gateway into his films, but to no avail.
