Can we just let this woman rest in peace? What aggravates me is that these so-called "understanding" and "sympathetic" portrayals never seem to remember she was a pretty savvy businesswoman who started her own production company and was considered a witty conversationalist who could bitch it up with the best of them,

Get out of my brain, @mandypatinkin:disqus! I've had that exact same thought re: Milioti replacing Zooey on New Girl and that it would benefit the world as a whole!

No, if Lion King ever gets adapted for TV it has to be given the Game of Thrones treatment.

Phantom of the Paradise is one of the most magnificent camp films ever made, and I'll fight anyone who says different.

No, you read it backwards and then you play it forward.

I read that in Tina's voice and it was perfect.

Yeah, but did Lauren Bacall sit on Roosevelt's piano? I think not!

That is an excellent idea.

I feel like Sarah Gadon has that sort of pretty, '40s pinup vibe that would fit in well at Twin Peaks. Plus she's a decent actress from what I've seen with a bit of an offbeat side. Shelly and Bobby's lovechild? Another cousin of Laura's?

"the most extreme, the most dangerous"

Ray Wise, too.

Basically whenever Sheryl Lee shows up is the movie at its best. She gives a remarkable performance.

I absolutely love this movie. It seems like something David Lynch would have made if he were around in the early '60s (more Elephant Man than Twin Peaks, though).

I always thought that, but never had the courage to say it!

The scene in Dust Bowl where the old man breaks down remembering his dead little sister? Yeah…I coincidentally got some dust in my eye at that part as well.

I came away not really liking Alice at all. She came across a lot like a bunch of people I've known in real life and in the media who get a pass from the people around them for being witty and attractive yet are basically pretty shitty. Same goes for Ted Jr.

For all that Teddy is one controversial figure, I must say I really missed Paul Giamatti's vocal performance once Ted died.

*Landlady voice* Are you boys building an interocitor down there?

If nothing else, Man With the Golden Gun had Christopher Lee as the villain. That automatically bumps it up past the other crap stuff that happens.
