I hadn't thought about that until you mentioned it, but it is odd that the Volm can't build their weapon with wheels or tracks or a hovercraft, or something more advanced than human technology.

The trip to Europe on the Queen Elizabeth with the Brown Brothers Harriman VP could be an example of that.
Regarding Don, taking some action to protect the agency was justified. No way that Ted should have been moving forward on a hugely expensive ad ($50k ad versus $15k budget) without getting client approval, and Don was accurate that Ted wasn't thinking with his head.
Unlike Todd, I don't see Pete's actions with Bob as merciful. I think that Pete is simply acting in a calculating manner, believing that using his knowledge to exercise power over Bob is more useful than trying to get rid of Bob. Not to mention that Pete has previously seen that exposing someone (Don) doesn't…
Good point on Ted.
They met in Season 3 when Sammy was sent to Kentucky to check up on "Bobby" Quarles
One nit - there is no way Constable Bob would have a full auto AK-47. Semi-auto look alike, I'd believe. Full auto would be out of Bob's price range whether legal - expensive and tough to obtain permit - or illegal.
I don't think that Drew's Tonin connection was widely known. I believe in this season's first episode that information was from a sealed federal indictment and was even new information to the marshals - only the FBI and US Attorney had known.
Does the convenient plot set up impact Rick's Smart-o-Meter score? In the 6+ months on the road after Season 2, Rick never thought to take the group back to his hometown to try to grab the massive supply of weapons and ammo that he thought was there? It seems like the group was apparently not very far from it, based…
It's a small detail, but why would Shelby have his ex-wife's clothes if he is in fact Drew? Drew went on the run with nothing more than he could carry when he parachuted out of a plane. The writers on this show are typically good enough that I hope they don't leave any plot holes when they reveal Drew's identity.
Good thought, but Napier's estranged sister is also a long-time resident of Harlan, so he can't be Drew. (His sister was used by Boyd as a pawn in the plot to get Shelby elected sheriff.)
The one problem I had as I watched the scene was that Deputy Hitman didn't simply shoot everyone once Raylan arrived.
Good point on the killed prisoners. In addition to the laundry manager, we also saw that the former Madrigal Houston warehouse employee - I believe his name is Ron - was one of the 10. His role was helping Lydia sneak methylamine out of the warehouse.

Not being able to launder that much money is one thing, but Skyler's inability to count it was just plain lazy. We saw Walt running it through counting machines and then bundling it by denomination. There were a lot of bundles, but counting all those bundles would still take less than an hour.

I think the DEA as an unlikely target for the M60. My educated guesses are either Declan's crew, Todd's uncle's Aryan Brotherhood group, or the cartel - at some point the cartel is going to be back in the meth business in New Mexico.

I don't recall that Hank is aware of #9, Walt's connection to Gus Fring. What am I forgetting?
