Crazy. I'm so set in my own viewing habits (I haven't had cable for years and think it's crazy that anyone would pay for it) that I feel sort of insulated from how most people still consume media.

But does anyone watch HBO for recycled movies? They shifted into being primarily known as a content creator over the last 10-15 years, so I'd be curious to know just how much they think the movies they re-run weigh for a subscriber. I don't think that would be part of the equation.

I don't know if Ramis came up with the idea for the Stay Puft marshmallow man in Ghostbusters, but if he did, he gets a lifetime pass for that if nothing else.

Mortensen has been so consistently awesome in so many movies that he's allowed a misstep. I was surprised that he didn't get more attention for his performance as Freud in A Dangerous Method. It's subtle work but really exceptional.

This is getting really good reviews, and more importantly all the reviews stress how fun and pleasurable it is. It's cool for a debut indie film to be getting that kind of buzz.
