The most 80s thing I've ever seen in my life is the scene of Rob Lowe playing the saxophone in this movie. The jacket, the tie, the embarrassing way he claps his hands together when he stops playing—it perfectly sums up everything about that rotten decade.
The scare arousal is a wonderfully contradictory sensation, somewhat akin to a "flag and like".
