What's amazing about Pam Grier is that she's still so unbelievably gorgeous in Jackie Brown, which is partially about how beautiful she was 20-25 years earlier.

This is really the only way to "watch" awards shows. Two years back, I didn't watch the Oscars and just followed the liveblog here, which I'm sure was way more entertaining.

Goggins in Lincoln is especially enjoyable, because he's so scared and timid in it. Very un-Boyd kind of performance.

It mostly gets past that, due to how Russell stages his scenes. It's closest to Flirting With Disaster of all his films, with this kind of screwball tone dominating what would otherwise be really egregious.

Such a great, great film. Pullman is phenomenal in it.
It's ok. "The unchallenged best film about classical musicians from the last twelve months" will appear on the blu-ray box for A Late Quartet.
