Love this film. Desplechin's films cover such a wide range of emotions but never drag or feel lopsided.

Maybe you would have read the title correctly if you hadn't already shot one of your eyes out.

Seconded. She's one of the best critics around. Good taste, great writing, and a sense of fun permeates all her reviews.

I feel the exact opposite. I wasn't sold on it as a great film until it got to the farm.

Totally untrue about Av Club. Scrawler was just talking him up the other day and a bunch of us commented on our love for him.

Tabu is the film I'm most looking forward to seeing early next year. The advance word on it has been awesome.

I'll back your love for The Tall Man. As horror movies go, it really tried to do something different with its story, and looked stunning doing it too. An underrated film from this year for sure.

Me neither. It's a haunting film. So empathetic and compassionate towards Anders, and really all of the characters. The closing montage is the best thing in any movie all year.
