A great film—I don't remember Heigl being in it but imdb says you're right.

The Catcher in the Rye is The Doors of books.

Agreed. He's good in all of these films, but the one that gets the most out of him is the Friedkin film. It curdles that charm perfectly, and he has this odd, deliberately paced timing to his movements that is super creepy (and very un-McConaughey).

That Homework poster is nothing short of amazing.

It's really obtuse, slow, and doesn't really follow a conventional story arc. When I miraculously managed to catch it the one week it played theaters, I walked out knowing it was going to get cult film love at best.

I think it's more the case that the two leads are so great they make you think your watching a great movie.

My biggest issue with the show is the lack of chemistry between Torv and Joshua Jackson. They're both good (though she's a little one-note for me most of the time) but they really don't work as a couple at all.

The moment when Lynch shows Harry Dean Stanton's face reacting to Farnsworth riding up to his house always makes me lose my shit.

Just wondering that myself earlier this evening. I only ever watch it on Hulu so I just check there every Saturday until it pops back up. I don't think I've ever seen a single episode as it aired, seeing how it's always had a crappy time slot.
