Sorry to tell you, but people using a hashtag on Twitter isn't what keeps a show on the air. It's not as if they ended with a paypal link begging people to donate money, it was just a nice tribute to the fans, who are the reason they've been on the air for this long.

Also, a random thought: did anyone else get a Lost Season 5 finale vibe from that ending, where there's a huge flash of white light followed by black text on a white background which ends the episode?
