It became a thing when pop culture fully embraced its stupidity.

That's the one that was my entryway into their stuff, too.
That can't possibly be real.
So many mixed feelings about Crichton, and the various adaptations of his work. The whole "global warming conspiracy!!!1!11!" and Disclosure things get me down, and not all of his stuff works, but when he was on, he wrote some cracking page-turners.
At least *some* of McGowan's plastic surgery was due to facial injuries she received in a car crash in 2007, all of which is pretty openly admitted by her.
There are so many young people I know who are so cynical, everything - even good, solid progress - must be filtered through a "the entire world sucks and this doesn't actually fix any problems" lens.
I would pay good money for a subscription version of the AV Club where literally everything was the same as the free version - including ads - except the subscription has no Taylor Swift content. Can we make that happen?
The answer, apparently, is "no," because the AV Club has fallen into the same bizarre universe as so many other music sites where they've decided that Taylor Swift is the Most Important Fucking Thing In All Of Time.
Wow, I had no idea that "gutter punk" was a thing, beyond the context I know it in: what a painfully cute 20something lady friend of mine describes her outfits as. She does not, to the best of my knowledge, live homeless by choice and panhandle - she lives in an apartment and works at a coffee shop.
It is kind of surprisingly how quickly things on here can shift from "don't make fun of somebody's appearance" to "lol jk let's all make fun of somebody's appearance" depending on the article and the prevailing winds.
I worked at a rural golf course for a while in high school. Don't feel obligated to AMA if you don't want to, because really, who cares?
Hey, us photographers are just button-pushing monkeys whose brain just happened to fire off some neurons at the right time while coincidentally pointed in the right direction such that our magic cameras made a photo for us, according to some people in the comments here. It's not like there's any talent or skill…
That's pretty much the vibe I get from her. Honestly can't stand her in many ways and her inescapableness everywhere including the AVC is discouraging.
Also, a million bonus point to Mrs. Tomorrowville who said "that's a terrible name. They should have gone with 'Better than Sugar Kracker.'"
This is fucking awful.
It's comforting to know that E.L. James is making absurd amounts of money without improving her awful writing even one iota.
Taylor Swift apparently has no problem with using the work of concert photographers for free: http://consequenceofsound.n…
The noise pop band I'm in put out its new EP recently, and it's been doing pretty well. We're performing at the local alt-weekly's music awards festival this month, and lining up shows in Austin, Lawrence, Chicago, etc. so that's cool.
Yeah, I didn't think that last one through. Strike linen from the list. I was in mid-rant.
If you're going to do the jeans-and-jacket thing, it needs to be with a significantly more "casual" and textured jacket than what those guys did, which seemed to just be "grab a suit jacket and throw it on." Go corduroy, or tweed, or plaid wool, or cotton or linen. Do a more interesting shirt than just a white…
