Yeah, I saw this scroll past me on Tumblr, and it was all ZOMG LOOK AT THEM SYNCED UP, and I watched it, and I'm just sitting there thinking…err, they're not synced up at all?

I am right up there with you in my adoration of the Beach Boys, but man, album art was *not* their strong suit (among the many other mistakes they made over the decades). "Love You" isn't nearly the worst, to me at least. The album immediately prior, the crappy covers collection "15 Big Ones," is far more hideous

Don't be silly - girls can't do things!

I'm a keyboard player, not a drummer, but what I *do* know of drums makes me think it's the tuning. It sounds tuned up high. You can make a snare drum with the snares off sound much less metallic than that.

No snark - I would totally love for these little six-episode X-Files continuations to become a regular thing. No need to try to do a full season or whatever. I'd just enjoy having little quality bursts of the show in my life on a recurring basis.

A snare drum has these metal rattles on the bottom of the drum that rest against the bottom drum head. It's what gives the snare drum its sound. There's a lever on the side that pulls the snares against the head, or loosens them so they don't sound when the drum's struck. With the snares turned off, the drum has

I had a similar experience - I heard her on a podcast (I want to say it was an episode of Jordan, Jesse, Go), and found her to be funny, so I followed her on Twitter, and 98% of her Twitter feed just seemed to be her fighting with people and being unceasingly bitter. It was kind of a bummer after enjoying her on the

Hell, my wife and I are 32, and neither of us wants kids any time soon (if ever), and people can *already* be weird about it with us. I find it utterly baffling, and supremely annoying.

The Internet

I LOVED Horizons. I rode it multiple times to see all the various possible future civilizations.

The version of Tomorrowland I miss is the old one, that was like a '50s/'60s vision of what the '80s would look like, or something. I was sad to see how they've updated and revised it, though I understand why they did.

It's pretty goddamned stupid, yes. One of the many things that made me hate that fucking movie.

Don't forget the epic writing stupidity mash-up he and Roberto Orci brought to Star Trek Into Darkness.

I've noticed that this person appears to communicate entirely in Tumblr language.

This is the modern Internet fandom - everything has to be either the greatest thing in the history of time, or a piece of shit.

This is all blowing my mind. I was cautiously optimistic in the lead-up to the release, but seeing this torrent of hugely positive reviews has me giddy with excitement.

This movie looks genuinely unreal, and pissing off MRAs is the icing on the cake. I want to see it on a loop.

One of my favorite power pop badasses, Anna Waronker, was involved in the soundtrack and specifically on Three Small Words and I Wish You Well. In fact, the latter is from one of her solo albums.

There are so many better bands *in this particular style*, even, that I don't understand the Best Coast craze. I'm not saying every song has to be a Van Dyke Parks-level lyrical puzzle, but I *do* appreciate it when songwriters actually try to say something smart, or at least smarter than a stoned ten-year-old. The

There are so many bands that work in this general sonic style (or at least that which BC used to work in) that *don't* have wince-inducingly awful songwriting (and a singer who's so unremarkable and limited) that I've never understood why this band is the one that gets so much attention.
