I watched all the “Airport” movies constantly when I was a kid, after acquiring them on dusty VHS from my hometown's long-gone dumpy local non-chain video rental store (which I still miss - it was built into what at one point was an old house, and was like a maze, so often had it been added on to with

I'm not proud of this, but I actually watched that "Inspector Gadget" clip.

That Lumineers video is everything I hate about current "indie" music distilled into one video.

ok thanks

If movies have taught us anything, it's that underwater action sequences can only move at super slow motion.

*Intelligently written reply to nonsensical post*

Given what has happened in another thread higher up the page, I will just say that yes, I find Miss Dennings to be almost comically attractive, both physically and personality-wise. And I will not elaborate on it any further for fear of the retributions from a, shall we say, certain unknown doctor.

Exactly. "Besides being really racist, that joke's also just badly written as a piece of attempted humor" isn't saying "the joke's writing is equally as important as its racism."

*sighs, goes back to wishing that Kat Dennings would be in more good things*

This is an attitude I see a lot on Tumblr, and I've always found it baffling.

tbh tbh tbh

This is one of the weirdest threads I've seen on here lately. It's like somebody using AVC comments in lieu of Tumblr reblogs.

I *did* forget about Teti, who may very well be the near-equal (or at least, a peer) of O'Neal in the "comedy classics" department.

I realize O'Neal is the editor and all, but there's an ineffable quality to his that are effortless that I don't always see in other posts. Sometimes it comes across like the newswire is trying too hard because "snarky is what we do."

There's one person here who does "snarky newswire" well. If your name isn't "Sean O'Neal," I think you should dial it back a great deal.

That would actually be pretty damned entertaining.

Actually, I do think Burton's films are the best of the ones thus far, excluding the '66 movie which is on its own pedestal of greatness for different reasons.

I *thought* that had an air of something I'd seen before about it, and now I can't unsee it - it's like Terl's black metal band brother back on Planet Psychlo.

This is far stupider and goofier than the Aquaman of "Superfriends." It's like every stereotype about DC's movies, Zack Snyder, GRIMDARK reboots, etc. rolled into one.
