I did enjoy "Dead Like Me" alot however the character of George is seen more as an adult (which she is - barely) as oppose to someone battling with the obstacles of life in high school and teen related issues.

"My So Called Life" spoke to me as a teenager in a way few other programs did. It displayed teenagers in a way the felt real. Awkward, angry, caring, at times implusive and wanting to find where they fit in a world which makes them sometimes feel like outsiders.

"Never let the facts get in the way of telling a good story……."

Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin's double act on "30 Rock" echoes Mary Tyler Moore & Ed Asner's dynamic on "TMTMS"……

I never got the fuss over "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" growing up. To me, it seemed quaint by the current standards of comedy and consequently never caught my interest.

How lonely it must be for you…….

Simply put Davies captures the heart, Moffat captures the intellect……

Supporting characters give a show depth and substance, It takes the pressure of the leads and allows writers to play around with possible dymanics within the cast that can often produce great results.

No, I'm just her spokesperson…… ;)

In her attempt to attain a more mature, adult like persona and break away from the Hannah Montana Disney squeaky clean image, Miley Cyrus has taken it upon herself to overtly sexualize her public persona to the point where it comes of as forced, overdone and not particularly sexy at all.

Will & Grace were funny however Jack & Karen were funnier. The four of them together were great.

See I could find her more sympathic as a character because of her background and upbringing (having a mother who was career driven and emotionally distant then later afflicted with an illness and taking care of her as well as having a father who walked out on her when she was young) if it weren't for the fact that

Meredith Grey is the heir apparent to Ally McBeal. The woman who we as viewers are somehow meant to feel for because life really is tough when you're a young attractive white woman who is finanically independent and has a successful career and good looking guys throwing themselves at you.

Agreed. Ted's whole schtick of "I'm just a guy looking for the right girl to fall in love with" got stale very quickly. Not to mention the fact that he also comes off as the most pretentious character which would be forgivable if he was actually funny but he isn't. Ted is the guy who thinks he's just an average

Did anything of the characters on "Happy Endings" have personalities beyond riffing off each other with an endless parade of pop culture references and in-the-know comments about each other's personal/bad habits when carrying on a "normal" conversation?……..

Quite true but at this point the rest of the characters on the show would roll their eyes at his comment and thus ignore him for saying it! ;)

"The Big Bang Theory" has grown over the six years since it's debut on television. Whilst the series still gets a lots of it's laugh for the geeky behaviour of it's main characters, the writers have also allowed for growth in it's protagonists.

Very true - hence why this genre is in grave danger of being wiped out. From the start of the 1980's American daytime soaps have gotten more melodramatic with plots that have well and truly stretched the bounds of credibilty - power hungry mad men holding the world to ransom by threatening to freeze it - "General
