I nearly mentioned this a few posts back, but couldn't remember whether it was on Rhino or not and didn't want to Google it. I agree. This is an excellent package if you want a good taste of it all. After the Johnny Cash craze, Gram and The Grateful Dead are responsible for moving me into the Americana/country fold.

It takes a lot of self-talk to get to the place of acceptance.

I've seen some of the videos they used in the 2008 tour. They're fun, but not essential. I'm not actually a huge fan of the show. I've seen five episodes, or so, but never fell in love. I'm not opposed to watching more.

It doesn't fall so far from Way of All Flesh that it will leave fans behind, but there is a new melodic element to some of the songs that are pretty subtle. I think it will garner them new acolytes, as should their opening slot for Lamb of God/Dethklok this summer. WHICH I WILL TOTALLY GET TO SEE.

Keep rubbing it in. I'd have to drive six hours to see it.

I remember seeing it on VHS years ago and liking it a great deal. I think it holds up well. The only Pixar films our household doesn't own are the Cars movies. I nearly passed on Wall-E, but got a killer deal on it at the pawn shop and was quickly reminded of the beautiful opening.

That's probably my biggest complaint about both of the recent Batman: Arkham games. There's just too much to do and the side quests don't augment the main story. Or maybe they do. I never finished Arkham City (thanks for breaking up with your gamer boyfriend, sister!).

COMPLAINT: Rented Skyrim at launch. Put in 12 hours on PS3. Rented it a month ago. After re-doing the required install and downloading the updates, I can't walk through a body of water without the game freezing. That's well enough, though. I can't play a game like that in moderation.

At least Da Vinci Code was fun for me in a "this is pure narrative amphetamine of the cheapest kind." I honestly have no clue why Dragon Tattoo is popular. How are these people on airplanes staying awake through the 100 pages of post-Cold War international finance until you get to the "saucy bits?" And event then, the

That's about how I felt about Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. And your post reminded me I meant to Red Box John Carter.
