In retrospect, I'm kind of surprised I watched it for a couple of seasons.

Why 1966? I'm really curious.
I just realized reading this that I must have watched this before I stopped drinking. I don't remember much of any of this at all.
The part at the end with the skulls was ok too.
That time they played the entire Twitty song (I forget which one it was) was a great little surprise, especially since it didn't sh*t on one of the most successful recording artists ever.
For some people just showing that clip makes it an object of ridicule, but some people just like to laugh at anything.
Six.
Thank you, I couldn't agree more.
The first half-hour setup is a bit of a slog, since you have to accept a LOT of completely implausible premises (first being that the "state" kept the house up and waiting for his eventual return, because that's what the state does with properties when the owner can't pay the property taxes). But then it's fun fun…
Not at all. It's even better watching it again 20 years later, knowing not to expect suspense or surprise.
"Whooo-ee! I just screwed the pooch!"
"Don't…let him kill me…Richard. Don't let him kill me…" It's too late for talk, sister!
I don't know, it is "Seinfeld" - I'm sure I've seen it more than once or twice. Pretty sure, anyway. Pretty, prettypretty…
Yes it is, and I agree it is a funny payoff - in fact, now that I think of it, Kramer's response almost comes off as a commentary on the stupidity of the premise, which makes it even funnier. You're correct indeed. I shouldn't respond without thinking first, but jeez then when WOULD I?
1. It's "Damien", btw, not "Damian" - I mean it's right there in the title: "Damien: Omen II"
They are. They are.
Already??
Thanks much - I've always loved that segment of The King & I, ersatz "orientalism" notwithstanding
I'd kind of like to forward to the "The King & I"-related segment - the title of this podcast is what made me click on it. Anyone know where it is, more or less?
Don't be ridiculous.
I have a hard time imagining that - it was such a gigantic huge record-making success everywhere but the US, I don't see how the badness could be entertaining enough for that.
