The invitation to my dad's second wedding was worded thusly: "…are "pleased" to announce their wedding…"
I remember Electra-Woman and Dyna-girl well - you SURE that wasn't Deirdre Hall? I knew how to read credits by then, and I'm pretty sure it was. Andrea Lovell-Hall's experience as an actor was pretty much limited to her role as Samantha - as I recall without going to IMDb, so I might be totally wrong.
We're all a bunch of fags, or we're each a bunch of fags? I thought I was only the one, not a whole bunch. Neat. I still don't do el grupo sexo, though-o.
My contribution (to the tune of "Little Boxes):
It does?
aclassicbluff…I'm disappointed you don't talk like Sylvester, from the cartoons. Sigh.
Doris Day?
Yeah but I think the production values were on a par with other soaps (minus the special effects, of course). In other words I think they all had wooden acting, wobbly sets, etc - those factors were hallmarks of soap operas in general.
I know exactly one thing about sports: "Brett Favre might retire". That is all.
Stop it. ""
Kristin Chenowith was a guest star - but I know what you mean.
Thank you! I thought it was with a soft G, but good to know for sure. In fact I was making plans to see Prince of Persia tonight, and wasn't sure how to pronounce it.
Dark Shadows
Watching Dark Shadows episodes really gives you an idea of why soaps were loathed for so long. They were shot so fast, no retakes, lots of cue cards - the production values obviously got better as soaps became more popular and "respectable".
Yes, Rationalist. Marlena had an identical twin named Samantha, who was an actress. Samantha was played by Andrea Lovell Hall, Deirdre Hall's identical twin in real life. Samantha was killed by the Salem Strangler! And this was all a verrrry long time ago.
You wanna know how awesome Carol Burnett is google "Carol Burnett National Enquirer"
"Also Sandler does seem like a nice guy"
I used to watch Match Game when it was new. Some I knew from other things, some I just knew from Match Game, but I didn't really care because the reason for ALL of them being there was to be funny on Match Game, which not just anyone could do. I still don't know what else Brett Somers was known for, other than being…
Oops of course you're right. For some reason the Against All Odds song has been in my brain…
Well the Wonder issue led to a policy of always inviting the original artist to perform it first. The White Nights/Take A Look At Me Now song might have been the same year.
