Puck is it. Totally.

He would have the sweater. That kind of talent coupled with indomitable will - woof, watch out.

I hope Quinn comes around. She and Puck need each other. Finn needs…to wake up, bless his heart. I sure like watching Finn sing, though.

Yesterday I heard the studio version from the GLEE cast album. It's freakin awesome! I also listened to the Nouvelle Vague version. I'm now educated.

Fun fact: the actor who plays Curt wanted to sing 'Defying Gravity" in high school but wasn't allowed to because it's a "girl song". I'd never heard the song before but there's nothing gender-specific about the lyrics, so I wonder if it had more to do with his singing so high.

Hopefully Rachel's gay dads will be a more believable couple than the ones on that execrable "Modern Family".

Sigh…I confess that in the first couple episodes I really thought/hoped that Puck was gonna come out of the closet. I've accepted that it's not to be, though, and really like his character and his interaction with Quinn.

Ooops of course I mean I haven't seen ELECTION since it first came out.

No, I confess I haven't seen Glee since it first came out, and I trust your more recent memory.

It did??? Wow, I didn't know that.

I've never heard the Nouvelle Vague cover (or even heard of it) - but I read that yes, Artie's version was based on that. It's one of my favorite numbers so far - loved him dancing in the hallway, in the cafeteria - I thought it was all pretty amazing.

Sometimes awful people are worth defending. Anyway though, Tracy Flick was incredibly annoying and unlikeable, but I don't remember her being awful. She didn't do anything to actually hurt anyone. The awful person in that movie was the teacher, which I remember being kind of the point of the movie.

La Pipe it's a cliche to say "Oh so and so would be so pretty if only she would smile", but that scene is a perfect example. Jane Lynch also has a nice role in "Julie & Julia", and makes it worth seeing even if you have no interest in that movie otherwise.

I totally agree and am always defending her to my friends. This show has elsewhere been compared favorably to the movie "Election", and her character reminds me a lot of Tracy Flick.

I hadn't really seen the misogyny - I can see your point now. However, I think the Sue's sister plot development went a long way toward redressing that. Also, yes, they are all kinda jerky - I'm liking Finn less and less, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

All THREE of these movies originated with Robert Bloch - he wrote the novel "Psycho", and I believe the screenplays for "Strait-Jacket" and "Homicidal".

The article doesn't mention that "Homicidal" is written by Robert Bloch, who of course wrote the novel "Psycho". It's pretty…wild…

Don't forget the "nurse" in "Matinee", played by Cathy Moriarty - she's HILARIOUS.

Me and My Shadows
SO glad this mini was on the list. It was really awesome. Judy Davis didn't really look or sound much like Judy Garland, but she definitely captured her. And when she lip-synched the transformation was perfect - she moved her body and face JUST LIKE JUDY GARLAND.

Peter Lind Hayes
As far as Peter Lind Hayes being "obviously not a professional dancer", I believe he and Mary Healy were BEST known as a dance duo.
