It could have been worse. There could've been five sketches of The Californians.

Season 2? I thought we were still in the back end of season 1. Oh well, weird ABCF season scheduling practices aside, this was a pretty decent episode. I bumped up the grade from a B to an A- because of that fantastic Great Gatsby/Moby Dick joke. And really, how often can you say that about an episode of any TV…
I would trade out Prophecy Girl and put Hush in it's place, but other than that it's a great list.

Yeah, even reading the review it sounded like Kevin didn't really have anything positive to say about it. "Low bar", "derivative B-plot", "telegraphed plots", "few surprises", and "thoroughly mediocre foundation" certainly don't sound like phrases that should appear in a review of a B- episode.

LMFAO party song was a little too close to the real thing for my taste. Other than that, great episode.

The racist zombies sketch was probably the single funniest sketch I've ever seen on this show. Such a simple premise, but it worked so well with just about every beat paying off.

I actually like the sound of Avas Revilo as a villain name.

I'd like Too Close a lot better without the dubstep breakdowns. They're not even bad, but after the careful buildup over the verses with fairly complex percussion and interesting staccato picks at the guitar, the whomp whomp whomp just seems too simplistic.

I think the spike ram was darker, but I get your point, this show is consistently darker than I gave it credit for being.

I was flipping through channels and happened on this show right around the scene where Savage rammed his spiky head into Adi's stomach and that was the darkest thing I've seen in a children's show since the Batman animated series. I'd heard bad things about this series, but I might just have to give it a chance now.

I wish they'd done more with the Statue of Liberty angel and their should've been a clearer/more believable reason for the Doctor not being able to see the Ponds again. Other than those, practically a perfect episode.
