Kinda like of an inverse Grantland. Grantland tries to be serious and very professional for most of its sports reporting, but sometimes their non-serious reporting (pop-culture stuff) is what gets the most traffic. Also they're opposite to Buzzfeed since they're going down the drain now that Simmons is gone and

Very true. They still have those dumb quizzes and click-baity headlines, but they've made good progress on their News App and are actively trying to cater to young people of color. I also slightly hate myself for adoring their Try Guys video series. It's silly, but they're great.

Buzzfeed can be pretty bad at times, but they are gaining legitimacy in my eyes through their Another Round podcast. They just interviewed Hilary Clinton last week and have Ta-Nehisi Coates on today's episode. It's a really good podcast and quickly becoming one of my favorites. Doesn't hurt that it's hosted by two

But does PocketCasts have Howl exclusive content? I don't have either, just wondering.

Ah thanks. That sounds heart-wrenching. My native tongue is Spanish, but I mainly speak English now and my father speaks only Spanish. We still talk, but have some difficulties every so and often, but I can't imagine not even being able to talk to him.

You're such a Shaun White

Which podcast?

I heard Court of Owls was good, and City of Owls was decent, so I was going to grab those. I did love the feature on here about the newish Batman and Jock/Francavilla are some of my favorite artists out there. Francavilla did awesome work on Afterlife with Archie.

Finally got around to reading the final installment in Lev Grossman's The Magicians Trilogy. A few chapters in on The Magician's Land, and it's going well. The previous two books are not as fresh as other books (comics mainly) are, but I'm enjoying it.

I actually think Tim Duncan's sense of humor would work well with CBB. He's very dry and witty

The first issue of Manhattan Projects was definitely fun, but the art was a little too squiggly for my taste. I might pick up the first trade at some point. I definitely have to catch up on Deadly Class.

How do you feel about MP and Deadly Class?

Read the reboot of Archie, the first trade of Chew, and currently getting through the 2nd Library Edition of Hellboy. Also picked up Kabuki by David Mack and finished Wicked and Divine.

Probably because they were both Tig's friends, so it wasn't as great without her. She was the least scientific, but easily the funniest.

To be fair, 'Another Round' is really good and hilarious. I don't like Buzzfeed's listicles, but I do have to admit, I like some of their short videos on Youtube. They're just something to watch in the background. The ones where they go searching for the best espresso, rotisserie chicken and hash browns are great.

I've been keeping up with the single issues of East and West (probably the only current comic that I do this with) and it's only getting better.

I just finished Snow Crash. Pretty good, and lived up to my expectations.

It was a pretty great episode. Very free-wheeling and just delightful.

Definitely. Al Madrigal was also a bit weird in his first few bits. I have high hopes for Trevor though.

This is very surprising, but great news! His specials that are up on Netflix are really good. He is definitely very charming and I hope that translates to The Daily Show as well.
