Chim Chim's Badass Revenge is even better than Give a Monkey a Brain. It's at least more consistent in its vision, if it doesn't have as many great songs. And the new EP Crazy Glue is the best since that one.

I think you're misremembering hearing V IS FOR VAGINA, if you think its tone is inherently silly.  Beyond the title and cover art (I'm guessing a similar approach is taken on this record), it's more grim than playful.
