City of Saints and Madmen is a terrific book of weirdness. Shriek takes kind of a left turn from the first book, but pulls off an emotionally compelling story while keeping a lot of what made the first book great. Finch didn't really work for me: I think he ended up explaining things that had been truly alien and

There's a region 2 DVD of GHOSTWATCH that I highly recommend. Way more scary than PA.

I love about 90% of TLOG. But the really explicitly gross and awful incompetent veterinarian sketches almost ruin the show for me. I find them tremendously upsetting.

It's a Mamet film. Get ready for Rebecca Pidgeon in the role of a lifetime!

No younger self comics in the book. Beaton chose strips where she still had access to high quality original art, and apparently none of the younger self strips made the grade.

I still treasure the moment where AB meets Clark Kent for the first time, immediately susses out that he's Superman and proceeds to undress him. The best part is when he pulls the cape out of the back of Clark's suit:

Technically Moore worships a snake hand puppet. Not sure if that counts as a lizard.

With some digipacks, the glue holding the plastic to the cardboard seems to weaken over time. I have a few where the plastic is sticking out of the sleeve in an ugly way.
