The first one I can remember seeing was the George C. Scott version. But for some reason the Disney 'Carol' left a lasting impression. I cried my eyes out when Bob Cratchit (Mickey) put Tiny Tim's crutch on top of his grave. Of course I was 8 at the time.

I was really blown away when I read that little if any CGI was used for the special effects. He just filmed a lot of natural chemical reactions.

Yeah…that's what I read. Apparently each episode was so expensive that HBO was basically paying the equivalent of a small movie budget for each one. So HBO decided they would cut Deadwood short so it wouldn't take away from their ability to make their own films.

Actually, Drunk Athiest, Jack's line I believe was "I wish you'd told me that 10 minutes ago."

Night Court (1984-1992)
Seinfeld (1989-1998)
Even Seinfeld seems ages ago to me at this point. In spite of endless reruns of the same 10-15 episodes on TBS every day.

The other 2% is when the joke is on(in?) you.
