And that title sequence was, in my opinion, horrible. It belongs on NBC or CBS, not HBO. Stick that one against some other HBO title sequences — True Blood, Six Feet Under, Luck, ANY OF THEM — and it looks even more ridiculous.

Oh, Todd, I love it when you talk about how the HBO Trinity is like the birth, decline and death of the U.S. Not being sarcastic.

You've summed up exactly why I prefer The Sopranos over The Wire. I love a show that you can come home from work and just pick an episode at random and enjoy it. I cannot think of any episode from The Wire that I would enjoy standalone-ly.

Vito choosing not to look at his watch and saying "Treat yourself" still gives me chills because of how real it is.

I always thought that was a brilliant contrivance, but you're right. There's got to be a more organic way to get Michael to request "Afternoon Delight."

I feel the same way. I list most of the things I've watched in the past five years in my original comment, and it looks like a lot. But then I hear all the things people enjoy, and I now have 25 shows listed on a piece of paper with "Things to Watch" as a header. I thought I was done after Buffy. But now it seems like…

Cool. I'm sure I'll give it a try eventually. Might try to put some space between it and Buffy.

Maybe … I don't know much about it because I've been trying to avoid spoilers as I finish up Buffy. Is it more of a procedural than Buffy? If so, I probably wouldn't be interested. Some of the MotW episodes of Buffy are good, but I prefer the season-long arcs about 9.9 times out of ten.

I would not have any idea what you're talking about if it weren't for today's Inventory. I don't really have any reason for not being interested in The Simpsons. Of course I've seen a few here and there over the years, but I just can't see myself tearing through a season in a week; I can't see myself loving it.

I'll give some of these that I haven't seen already a try, but I doubt any of them will stick (The X-Files, Rome, Fringe). Thanks for the "official" list, though, Ombudsman! I'd forgotten about Twin Peaks.
