It was absolutely on the short list. There just wasn't time. But it might've ended up being another case like Class, anyway, based on that description.

Nor am I. But lord knows I'm still trying to get her to do the feature…and so is Kelly Lynch, for what it's worth. Whether it actually comes to pass, however, remains to be seen.

The Hot Spot was absolutely in contention - as was Creator, @avclub-920530cb8744c679e3a2ece84f1d5ce4:disqus - but time just ran out.

I really, really wanted to ask about Zombie High. I mean, Virginia Madsen and Sherilyn Fenn? (Not to mention Paul Feig as an actor rather than a director.) But in the end, I had time for one more, and I went for Candyman instead.

Like you and @avclub-87caf7c42aedbada42572e2374eed08d:disqus are surprised, but…I wholeheartedly endorse this sentiment.

Actually, Cosby did do a comedy special after Himself. It was called 49, and - like Himself - the whole thing's on YouTube:

Nice one, Sam. The only thing I would've asked about - and it's utterly out of left field - is The Mind of Mr. Soames, and it's only because of an interview I did several years ago with one of its other stars, Robert Vaughn:

I might be the only one who actually liked his album Scream, but, in particular, I still spin "Never Far Away" all the time:

Duly noted - you, too, @avclub-1f5b519cde67ac0d0fcab419aa3048a4:disqus - and I think duly repaired. Sorry, I had a 7-year-old losing her mind as I was in the process of trying to post it, and it showed.

Didn't ask that specific question, but we did talk SNL, and I did confirm that he was asked to be in the Justin Timberlake "Five-Timers" sketch but was exhausted from filming Ray Donovan and felt that he had to take a pass, a decision which he has regretted ever since.

Yessir.

@avclub-997c221538094d134659141cf61d51e3:disqus He also matched Jonathan Banks and chatted with my daughter for a brief moment before we got off the phone. (Apparently, his mother's birthday and my daughter's birthday are only two days apart. Who knew?)

You will find annoying omissions (as I did), just by virtue of the fact that he's been in a lot of stuff, but given that we talked for 90+ minutes, I could take no more of the man's time.

You're safe: no reminder about The Long Goodbye was needed.

What, you couldn't remind me of Busting yesterday, before I did my Random Roles with Elliott Gould? Geez…

A laugh which, oddly enough, comes up briefly in an interview within a piece I just posted last night:

For that, you get the full 100.

If that's a reference to the "your money or your life" gag, I'll give you 50 points. But it would've been 100 if you'd said, "I'm thinking it over!" (That's the actual punchline.)

Look, just because it's in your ears and in your eyes is no reason to take it out on the rest of us.

Not her first TV role, just her first TV role after moving to Los Angeles. But even so.
