I totally meant to mention him, but - along the lines of what @eric827:disqus said - I think he was so normal in the role that he really didn't stand out. But I believe he will be returning in a future episode, so hopefully he'll make enough of an impression then that I actually remember to say something about his

This seems like a perfectly good place to offer up a link to my interview w/ Mr. Lamas, which reveals him to be pretty darned awesome:

It also introduced me to Mike Viola and the Candy Butchers, who've gone on to be one of my favorite artists.

There's a little context that's missing from the conversation, which is that I reminded him how he and I had chatted a few years before, when he was promoting Surveillance, and I referred to his performance as taking a turn into "batshit crazy."

If you like Pet Sounds - and that goes for you, too, @avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus - you owe it to yourself to check out that embed of the Dennis Wilson song underneath my response. I say again, I really, really wish Dennis's efforts had been embraced within the group more than they were…

You know, I've got Season 1 of Todd sitting around here but have yet to crack the plastic. This may finally serve as the incentive I need to give it a shot.

NICE. I reviewed that album for the now-defunct Amplifier Magazine when it first came out, Great record. Perfect for Pernice Brothers fans…which makes sense, of course, since Frank Padellaro was in the Scud Mountain Boys with Joe Pernice. Mr. K Is Dead - Go Home is good, too, but I definitely prefer Passenger between

Gosh, I appreciate the specific shout-out, but we've all got our own tastes. Mine would've been a lot more hip if I'd compiled it when I had time to watch more TV on my own, but when most of your time in front of the set is shared with your wife and daughter, your tastes change accordingly.

I'd say it is. In fact…

Just to get a headcount, I'm not the only one who loved Medium, right? I mean, not only did it turn in some seriously creepy installments over the years, but as far as spousal interaction, I always felt like Alison and Joe Dubois were one of the most realistic couples on television.

I disagree with Lydon as well…and I'm the one who wrote the Sid & Nancy bit! For my part, I've always thought that a double bill of that film and Trainspotting would be enough to keep anybody off smack. (I mean, hey, it's worked for me so far!)
