I freaking love the Bangles. If you haven't read the set list interview I did w/ Susanna Hoffs, you should check it out. She may be quite literally the sweetest, coolest woman in the business.

True enough. When they reissued a bunch of Waves' material a bit ago, I did an email interview w/ Kimberely Rew about the band, plus a bit about his other musical efforts: http://popdose.com/the-popd…

Agreed. I didn't know who they were until See How We Are, but I quickly started exploring the back catalog after I fell in love with that album. I just wish that the only time I've seen them live hadn't been when they opened for David Bowie in San Francisco on his Glass Spider tour. And, no, I'm not joking. They

Actually, @GaryX:disqus, if you compare our Twitter profile photos, I think you'll find that I'm 95 points ahead of Mr. Teti. Not that this is a competition or anything…

I second your among-friends comment, of course, but while adding that I was going to ask much the same question of @avclub-60ac1337dd425567f906179964e55e96:disqus in regards to the use of the term "abused" when referencing how Sue's treated by her parents. Aside from borrowing Shatner's SNL line…it's just a TV show!…I

I think that must be something to do with the settings where you're trying to access it. But I can assure you that there is no porn on that site. (My wife and I have a longstanding agreement that I will not use pornography to pay our mortgage. Now that I think about it, I really should make sure that the agreement

I kinda sorta agree that he should've asked her parents first, if only on general principle, but…okay, I feel like I'm in the minority here as someone who was actually in a church youth group as a teenager (EYC, represent!), but once you accept that Sue somehow came up with the money for the cookie supplies in the

@avclub-60ac1337dd425567f906179964e55e96:disqus - I know this is probably going to drive you crazy, but…I like the fun goofiness of Rev. Tim Tom. And given that my family and I are pretty social in our church (although I subscribe to the Mike Heck School of Theology and get instantly anxious when someone tries to talk

I haven't had to alert her to that, because we've got TiVo, and we've had it long enough that it's one of the boxes where we paid the lifetime fee and, as such, have never had to pay anything else on it ever again. But she'll grow up soon enough (and, ultimately, sooner than I'd probably like). No need to rush her.
